Welcome to John C. Stennis CTE!
Greetings from the John C. Stennis Career Technical Center,,
John C. Stennis Career and Technical Education Center in DeKalb, Mississippi (Kemper County School District), offers five technical programs to students at Kemper County High School as well as Kemper Academy. The five programs at the center are Health Sciences, Horticulture, Early Childhood Education, Law & Public Safety, and Welding. Two courses are taught at the middle and high school, and they are Cyber Foundations and Family & Consumer Science.
The programs are designed to be two-year programs, and upon completion, students will earn four credits toward graduation. Through these programs, students will learn skills and participate in clinical experiences and hands-on training. In addition to the five major
programs, we offer student services to students who need additional remediation (math, reading, Work Keys and job training). Our center also offers counseling services to students needing general counseling, job assistance and higher education preparation post-graduation.
It is our objective at John C. Stennis to strive to provide the needed information for students to be able to set career goals and to understand the path to successfully obtain these goals. Our motto is “Preparing Students Today for the Workforce of Tomorrow through CTE".
